Caregiving: Kathie Nitz
"Kathie's words and guidance spill from her organically and she offers a listening ear as if she was speaking to a lifelong friend. She is not only an expert in what she does but she isn't afraid to offer her human side, which cares deeply for others and their emotional survival and growth."
As a caregiver to her Mom with dementia, Kathie understands firsthand the challenges caregivers face while navigating this new territory. Most caregivers feel stretched to the limit from dealing with the day-to-day responsibilities, emotions and pressures of being a caregiver while simultaneously trying to live their own life.
As a Caregiver Coach, Kathie applies the principles she learned in coaches training and folds in her personal experience to bring a fresh perspective to caregiving. She is passionate about helping caregivers develop a new outlook and create their own unique caregiver model. This enables them to care from a stronger, healthier and more capable place. Caregivers also uncover the often overlooked gifts accessible to them as caregiver to their loved one. Once they discover and embrace them, care giving can become an opportunity to experience tremendous personal growth and develop a more authentic relationship with loved ones in the process.
Kathie received her training through The Coaches Training Institiute. Her own caregiver journey inspired Kathie to create Caring Cards to facilitate meaningful inter-generational conversation especially with those who have dementia. In addition to one-on-one and group coaching, Kathie is a sought out public speaker by businesses whose clientele are impacted by care giving including assisted living communities, home health care agencies, elderly attorneys, financial institutions and non-profit organizations.

"After a lot of patience and peserverance, Cynthia has allowed me to reach a target weight, explore new ways to deal with stress, and given me the desire to love my body and self."
Cynthia is a pioneering Integrative Nutrition Coach, Wellness Speaker, and Certified Eating Psychology Counselor. As a recovered binge eater herself, Cynthia is committed to sleuthing right down to the core of people's concerns to boldly address weight control, disordered eating, digestive health, reproductive imbalance and more. With a "tenderness meets take-acation-now" style, she works with people privately, leads groups and talks to just about anyone who thinks nutrition and paychology are cool.
She has been a professional in the nutrition industry for over 8 years, and Eat Empowered, LLC, a Boulder, Colorado-based company offering private practice (local and national), wellness presentations and group trainings, is her second business adventure. As a former New Yorker, Cynthia spent 3 years as Director of Nutrition Services for a holistic center treating infertility and reproductive disorders, and honed in on her passion for teaching by speaking to groups large and small. She has appeared in magazines, local TV programs, and had her own nutritional/wellness column on http://elasticwaist.com

Feldenkrais: Tahnee Woolf
"Her capacity to touch and heal and understand human movement, combined with her power as a person and her capacity as a speaker, can inspire your whole being. On top of the great passion she brings to her teaching, Tahnee's experiences with chronic pain have also given her the gift of compassion and empathy."
Tahnee brings great insight to her Feldenkrais practice, her work as a Women's Speaking Mentor, her own public speaking, and her leadership in the field of personal transformation. This comes from her unique background, which includes: working as a corporate lawyer in Melbourne Australia, studying international law at Oxford University, and training in many different fields of personal growth, spirituality and energetics.
Tahnee is passionate about Feldenkrais because she used it herself to rewire all her deepest patterns of posture and body movement, to make a complete recovery from years of chronic back pain and to become fully empowered in all areas of her life. She also has a core belief is that the key to any transformation is "awareness", and the Feldenkrais Method teaches a profound level of body awareness that she has not found anywhere else. Tahnee believes that body awareness is the "missing piece" in the personal growth movement.
She is honoured to be the Hygieas Industry Leader for this cutting edge modality!

Hypnotherapy: Karla Lightfoot
"I work with highly intelligent and creative individuals who seek to live a fully expressed life. Using the transformational power of hypnosis, we work together to eliminate fears and phobias, erase pain, heal illness, expedite goals and dreams and reverse the limiting beliefs that often prevent us from living the life of our dreams."
As a hypnotherapist and the market director of Ladies Who Launch NY/NJ, Karla has worked with nearly a thousand women to explore, clarify and achieve their entrepreneurial and personal dreams. It is with this entrepreneurial spirit that she founded Compassion Couture.
Through her own experiences and growth, Karla discovered that while positive messages and support are inspiring, they aren't always enough. This coupled with her life-long fascination with the mind, led her to pursue and study the field of hypnotherapy. She discovered that hypnosis could create profound and rapid change and healing at the subconscious level. She now teaches her clients how to harness the power of the subconscious mind and how to use self-hypnosis in every aspect of their lives.
Karla's past professional background includes working in executive management, sales, and marketing at companies such as Bloomingdale's, Starbucks Coffee Company, and Tribune Interactive. Lyme Disease Specialist: Sandy Berenbaum
"My goal, as a Lyme-literate psychotherapist is to guide my clients as they move from victim, to survivior, to thriver. With complex cases of Lyme disease, it may take a team to help accomplish this, and among other things, I see my role as that of a team builder."
Sandy Berenbaum is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NYS and CT. Having begun her career working with adolescents in a residential treatment center, she went into private practice in 1987, with a focus on adolescents and their families.
Her own struggle with chronic Lyme disease informed her commitment to learning about this serious illness by attending medical conferences, beginning in 1990. Astonished at the complexity of Lyme and associated tick-borne diseases, she began to recognize it as a possible underlying cause of the presenting problems in some of her clients - children, adolescents and adults.
Her personal journey led her to develop a professional specialty, working with Lyme disease patients and their families. Sandy has become a nationally known leader in Lyme disease professional education, giving presentations at conferences and seminars, particularly in areas involved with mental health issues associated with the illness. Her approach to therapy includes empowering parents to advocate for the needs of their children, when Lyme is effecting their education.
Radical Self-Care: Deborah Roth
"The sad truth is that women are socialized to take care of everyone else first. The reality, though, is that if we don't place ourselves at the center of our lives, we become increasingly scattered, ungrounded, and miserable. And ultimately, if we don't create space for our self care, we won't be whole enough to take care of all those we love or who depend on us."
A Life & Career Transition Coach and Relationship Coach, certified through the International Coach Federation and the Relationship Coaching Institute, Deborah has spent the last 30+ years coaching, training and speaking in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors, for large corporations and small businesses. After completing her Master's degree in Psychology and becoming ordained as an Interfaith Minister, she founded her business, Spirited LivingTM in 1998.
Deborah works with overwhelmed, under-nurtured women (and a few good men!), guiding them through life and career transitions, helping them to attract and sustain fabuloius relationships, while maintaining a strong foundation of Radical Self-Care. She offers powerful, structured programs for groups and individuals, and speaks, writes and teaches on the subjects of sacred SELF-centeredness, everyday spirituality, conscious relationships, and managing life's big changes.
For the past 15 years, she's facilitated monthly New Moon Sister Circles, Full Moon TeleMeditations, a year-long Women's Spirituality program and most recently, a 3-month Women's Empowerment coaching program. She's authored 2 books - The Authentic Woman PlayBook, and Circle of One: the Art of Becoming a SELF-centered Woman.
